Why New Zealand?
Nowadays German expends most of his time in New Zealand and Kiwis have been working with very high quality timbers for all their history. The beautiful New Zealand islands are one of the last surviving heavens for Green live in this world. There are large amount of native timbers in New Zealand, some of them are well known internationally e.g. Kauri, Totara, Rimu, Matai, etc. The knowledge of New Zealanders on elaborating timber is enormous in particular for boat building. The Maoris, the indigenous inhabitants from New Zealand came to the islands by wooden ocean-going canoes from the eastern Polynesian islands around 1280 AD. The British settlers who arrived to New Zealand on the 18th century were skilled workers of timber.
